The Power of Affirmations
What are affirmations?
Affirmations are cultivated sentences spoken directly to your conscious and subconscious minds to update certain patterns and beliefs in your life.

The 8 P’s of Effective Affirmations:

  1. Possible: Go all in on believing that your affirmation is possible.

  2. Power: Your affirmation must be within the power of your control. Affirmations are what we are telling our own brains to take action on.

  3. Present: State and write your affirmation in present time as if it is happening now. “I am in perfect health”

  4. Personal: Use “I” statements to keep your affirmations focused on yourself, not things outside of yourself.

  5. Positive: Keep your affirmation in the positive and focus on the things that you are trying to attain as opposed to things you want to get rid of.

  6. Passion: Feel it and believe it. Make it palpable. Adding the emotional trigger allows the brain to rewire to accept the affirmation as truth.

  7. Pursue: Repeat your affirmation consistently.

  8. Post: Write your affirmation down in a place you can see it everyday. Don’t just walk by it but stop for a minute and reflect on it and repeat it.

Where will you put your affirmations?
When will you look at them?

Write your affirmations below:

KICK YOUR AFFIRMATIONS UP A NOTCH BY ADDING A PHYSICAL MOVEMENT WHENEVER YOU SAY THEM!
Add a movement that reflects your statement. “I radiate confidence!” Stand with your fists on your hips like Wonder Woman and tilt your chin to the sky.

21 Day Art Challenge – Make sure you post your Art on the Artrageous Show Arts Community Page on Facebook to get your Art Featured at an Artrageous show. 21 days will allow you to train your brain to be in the present moment and create new patterns for yourself.

It doesn’t matter what you create. Here are some ideas:

  1. Open your Journal and take 3 deep breaths. Clear your mind and just see what images you see in your mind’s eye. Open your eyes and put them down on paper.

  2. At the end of the day create a Gratitude Clover. Each leaf of the clover gets an image and/or words of something you were grateful for each day. Try to make them different each day.

  3. Make a healing mandala.

  4. Doodle.
